TRUE FULFILLMENT

Happiness comes from within.

Fulfillment.

That feeling of having made it in life.

In which ever way we might get to that point, fulfillment makes us feel like our lives are fulfilling our purpose of living and existing.

It gives us rest and a sense of accomplishment, like finally we've done something worthwhile with our time here on Earth.

Different people define fulfillment in different ways.

To some people, it means having a lot of money, power, influence e.t.c

This is because, in our today's society, respect and special treatment is given to people based on how rich they are, how educated they are, how connected they are and how well traveled they are.

When a person is respected and treated specially, when a person is honored and held at high regard, when a person is well known and recognized by a great number of people, that person is most likely to feel like he or she has 'arrived'.

The person will feel fulfilled.

Because of this feeling of fulfillment that comes when a person is treated with respect, people believe that achieving things like financial freedom, educational qualifications, levelling up into the higher society e.t.c are the things that they need to get done in order to be fulfilled in life.

While doing all of those things are not bad in themselves, they can be quite misleading as regards to what true fulfillment really is.

They are mostly external things.

Things that are only projectors and indicators of who we are but not who we are.

The things we have achieved or the things we possess is not us.

We are our own selves.

We should be sufficient and secure within ourselves, with or without anything we have achieved or possess.

We should not measure our degree of importance or worth by the things we have or by the things we have achieved.

The things that we have or have achieved are only a tip of the iceberg, pointing out into the happenings in our lives.

The rest of the iceberg is within us.

The rest of the iceberg is us.

We should not validate ourselves by our achievements, we should validate our achievements by who we are and by the potential we bear on the inside of us.

Our clothes shouldn't boost our morale, we should be giving more value and worth to our clothes because they are owned by us.

Everything on the outside should be a reflection of the great deal already going on on the inside.

For example, when it comes to happiness.

Happiness starts within.

It is rooted from the inside.

It springs forth from within and can be accentuated and made profound by external things.

If you try to make yourself happy with things or persons on the outside, the happiness you will derive from there will be short-lived, shallow and superficial.

True happiness starts from within you and more happiness can be built on it by the use of pleasant, external things, persons or happenings.

However, you have to be happy first.

Make you happy first.

How?

Through Jesus Christ.

By coming close to Him, I believe there is true love and peace with Him.

The true measure of your life is not in the things you have or have achieved, they are good things to have or achieve.

Very good.

Very applaudable... however, your life 's worth can be measured by the amount of value you have within you, on the inside of you and by the amount of value you add to other people around you.

How you are able to elevate their lives from one level to another.

When I say 'value', what do I mean?

I mean:

Wisdom

Knowledge

Patience

Kindness

Understanding

Love

Warmth...

And all the other virtues..

Also intelligence, a good sense of humor, skill, talents, insight e.t.c

When you have all of these, and you are consciously improving on them, you become an asset to people around you.

You become more impactful, positively affecting people's lives.

You will have a good legacy when you are no more and you will outlive your demise when you are rich within you, in your heart , in your mind and in your soul.

When you live a life of no attachment to material things and develop a sense of security and sufficiency within yourself, you cannot help but add value to people around you.

When you add value to the lives of the people around, you become a person of positive impact.

When you become a person of positive impact, you will be remembered for the good things that you have done for other people, even long after you are no more..

Your good deeds will make you forever alive in the hearts of those whose lives you have affected positively.

The moment you are still remembered long after your demise, you have become immortalized by your good deeds.

Your good deeds immortalize you.

All these starts with being a person of value but what if presently, you don't seem to possess that much worth or substance within you.

You can increase your worth and substance by engaging exclusively in self developing activities such as reading self help books, going for a counseling session, exercise, eating balanced diet and most especially , coming close to God , the source of all things valuable.

It is in God that all good things are found.

Through Him, the foundation of all manner of goodness, richness e.t.c is laid deep within your spirit, soul , mind, heart and body.

It is from here that virtues like true happiness, peace, love, wisdom, kindness e.t.c spring forth before the external enhancers can come into play.

We must be truly rich within us.

We can be truly happy.

We can be truly fulfilled.

The foundation of it all starts with Jesus Christ.
