THE LIMITING EFFECT OF SELF GLORIFICATION

                        A transcending soul

We are the children of God.

Our abilities are limitless.

Our capacities are boundless and our capabilities are endless.

Everything we have and are comes from God our Father.

Is it our body, beauty, brains, talents and potentials?

They all come from God.

When we are born into this world, we begin to discover who we are and what we can do.

We begin to refine and make better what God has already given to us.

Whatever we are or have can be bettered in an unending way.

Yes, we can get better and better than better.

However, the problem is that we take glory for what God has given to us.

We praise ourselves for our abilities, possessions and physical qualities.

When we do this, we lose focus on the work of perfection and refinement that still needs to be done.

When we glory in ourselves, we hinder our growth and expansion because we believe that 'this is all of it and it is enough'.

We think that we are already at our best, not knowing that we can be far more better.

When we glory in our riches, popularity, fame, beauty, intelligence and achievements, we hinder a furtherance thereof.

We unknowingly put a stop on our expansion because we are no longer looking forward but we are now looking at ourselves and how much we have been able to do by ourselves.

God wants us to be so much more, He is the greatest.

There is no one like Him and there is none to compare with Him.

Because He knows that He is a great God, infinite in all perfections, He tries to draw our attention to Him.

He does this knowing that, when we take the attention and self glorification away from ourselves and look at something much bigger than we can ever be, we become so much more.

More greater than we can ever be, more glorious, far more beautiful and abundantly rich.

As we fill our minds with His great power, might and majesty as God, we unknowingly begin to be like what we are seeing in Him.

Hence , we begin to embark on a journey of unconscious transformation to become more and more like our heavenly Father, surpassing whatever it is we used to glorify ourselves in.

Jeremiah 9: 23-24
"Thus saith the Lord, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:
But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord"

I say to My God:
I will glory in this: that I understand and know You, that You are the Lord which exercise loving-kindness, judgment and righteousness, in the Earth: for in these things You delight.
Let us look to Him in order to transcend beyond our human limits and be divine like Him.
