THE ENERGY OF YOUTH AND GOD'S UNDERSTANDING

 I don't really want to go straight to the point.

It would make all of this write up boring, wouldn't it?

The energy of youth and God's understanding...

Hmm...

Well, first off, the time of youth i.e from 20 - 40 , is a time every other age group wishes to be in.

Why is this so?

The time of youth is a time of beauty, freshness, succulence, profound allure and charm.

So much energy, vigor, agility, physical strength, virility, fertility, intelligence, opportunities and the spotlight is on you during this time of your life.

Kids can't wait to grow up and be youths.

You can tell this by the things they say:

"When I grow up, I want to be this.. I want to be that".

Kids admire youths that are already what or who they dream to be.

Old people, older adults e.t.c always think back to the good old times when they were still young.

They think about how good they were looking, how strong they were, how many opportunities came their way, the ones they missed, the ones they grabbed,who they fell in love with, the mistakes they made and things they wish they never said.

These two age grades, kids and the elderly admire youth with such longing and worship.

Another thing to consider about youth is the energy.

The boiling blood and churning hormones.

The lofty dreams.

The wild fantasies.

The crazy adventures.

It's altogether full of passion and energy.

Most advertisements are done with youths, good-looking youths as the models, whether male or female.

The time of youth is a time to predetermine how the rest of your life will be.

Any opportunity you grab as a youth rolls over as an added advantage for you, in your later years.

The same applies to mistakes, especially irreparable ones.

You will pay dearly, for the rest of your days.

With many " I wish I didn'ts or I wish I hads ".

Have you ever encountered this prayer line in the Bible?:

"Do not remember the sins of my youth?".

Ever wondered why that prayer was said?

That prayer was said because as a youth, you have an uncommon level of energy and passion that needs to be tamed.

You need wisdom.

You need self control.

You need discipline.

You need focus.

It is not easy to be a youth.

Why do I say this?

I say this because the devil knows how much energy that we have..

He knows that if he leads us to live in a particular way or do a particular thing, we are unavoidably going to give it our best shot!

It is unavoidable.

You're like a wild bull.

An enraged, wild bull but you alone with God on your side , can tame you.

God knows the kind of energy He has put in us at this age.

He knows why.

That we will render the most of our time and energy in service to Him.

In word, thought and deed.

Therefore, He does not get too hard on those who get misled because He knows that it is not easy to stay focused under all that energy.

Under all that zeal.

Under all that passion and wild fire.

He takes it easy on us youths.

That is why when a person gets much older and wiser, he or she will begin to realize that God was really merciful to him or her.

In spite of all he or she had done as a youth.

God permits youths so much more especially when they fall into sin as a result of ignorance or weaknesses..

When a person knowingly goes ahead to do something that he or she knows so well to be wrong, that is a different ball game.

God is understanding.

He knows how hard it is to try to live right.

The temptations.

The drives..

The pressure..

The confusion...

The kingdom of God is scouting for us because they know we bear the most goods within us.

The kingdom of darkness is also scouting for us because they know we bear the best tools that they can utilize for destruction.

It is not easy to be a youth.

God knows this and that is why when we run to Him, we don't need to explain the struggle.

He knows.

He understands.

He will deliver.

He will help.

He will save.

It is not easy to live right.

The devil fight people, youths who want to live right.

He fights them real hard.

But with the kingdom of God backing us, we are more than conquerors.

The devil makes youths think that virgins don't exist anymore, that everybody do drugs, everybody fornicates, everybody masturbates, everybody watch porn, everybody do all kinds of crazy stuff.

IT IS NOT TRUE.

How does he make you believe this?

He does it through the media, movies, music videos, songs, lewdness everywhere, nudity everywhere, girls naked, men doing all kinds of disgusting stuff and you feel stupid because some part of you know that something is not right.

You feel scared because you don't want to be seen as the good girl or as the good boy.

You're confused.

You feel, maybe there's actually nothing wrong with it after all and before you know it, you begin to be cool with it.

You try it.

It feels good, right?

But you don't know that you are about to destroy yourself.

Everybody wake up!

Wake up!

Go get your bible!

The truth is in there.

You think the devil likes you?

You think he's cool.

You're wearing all black and red and acting all rebellious.

You're making a big fool of yourself and you're making things easier for the devil.

He will take you down, smash you up into pieces and make sure you never recover.

The next thing:

Dying feels better than being alive.

Listen to me:

THE DEVIL HATES YOU AND WANTS YOU FINISHED.

That's the truth.

Only Jesus loves you and died for you and you think He's dumb.

Like, He's not cool.

He's a nerd.

A 2000 years old jerk, right?

He's all too two goody shoes.

You think?

We really need to wake up!

Wake up!

Go to God!

You're feeling too big?!

Save yourself.

Have you gone to the hospital lately?

Have you ever seen a so called baddest guy in the block about to pass away?

All that swagger will be gone.

All that style will be nothing.

He'll just be there down to who he really is.

A child of God.

A deceived child of God.

A fooled child of God.

His homies can't save him.

His crack can't save him.

His swagger can't save him.

His girls can't save him.

Only Jesus can save him but it will be too late by then.

I don't want you to be this brother.

All that six packs you bragging about, you're a lady , you feel on top of the world because guys be tripping all over you as a result of your beauty, when you die, that all is going to be food for termites and maggots.

What is going to be left?

Your soul , right?

What is the state of your soul?

When was the last time you spoke to your creator, Who started you and Who has the power to end you?

We are all got to be humble.

We are all got to be humble.

"Do you know who I am?".

Yes! I know what you are.

We all are dust, we all are ashes..

We are nothing.

Only God gives us a sense of identity, of worth, of belonging...

He created us, so we tap our identity and importance from the fact that God created us.

We are God's children.

He gave us that heritage and identity.

We are precious, how?

Jesus Christ shed His precious blood for our sins.

He wasted His value to give us worth and importance.

It is high time we took this God seriously, guys..

It is high time...
