TAKE OFF YOUR SANDALS, FOR YOU STAND ON HOLY GROUND

                 Moses and the burning bush

The tabernacle is a temporary place of worship, often made up of a tent that can be moved from one place to another.

It is a temporary set up for worship and within it dwells the presence of God.

A tabernacle is set up to be a temporary place of worship while the permanent place of worship is being constructed.

The permanent place of worship is the temple.

It is made of bricks, wood and solid materials that are used to make it fixed at a particular place and immovable.

The tabernacle is always connected to the temple after it is done being constructed.

The area around the tabernacle, especially the altar becomes the sanctuary.

Therefore the temple embodies the presence of God dwelling in it, the tabernacle, the altar and the sanctuary.

A temple is the house of God.

A holy God and as such is holy.

We are God's temple.

God has poured out a portion of His spirit upon all mankind in the sense that He is within everyone of us.

We are not fixed like buildings, we can move from one place to another.

Carrying God within us wherever we go.

Therefore, we do not own ourselves.

We belong to God.

As we are God's temples , we are supposed to reckon and treat ourselves as such.

God is holy and dwells within us.

Therefore, we are a holy place of God's dwelling.

Our holiness is not by the virtue of what we have been able to do or avoid but by our acknowledgement of the Holy Spirit of God that we bear within us.

By respecting Him, honouring Him, keeping His House clean and worshipping Him.

In us is the tabernacle of God, the altar of God and the sanctuary of God.

Praises are supposed to rise from within us.

Worship is supposed to fill the inside of us.

A sweet smelling incense of virtue is supposed to be all over our insides.

May God teach us to remember that we are His and may we live as the temples of God that we are.

There is an unlocking and release of power when we begin to live in the reality of this truth: we are the temple (s) of God and the Spirit of the Most High God dwells in us. Therefore, we are a holy place, a holy ground.
